We have used the nutrical on both adults and puppies and it has helped them alot. We also used a high quality wet food like Wellness or Merricks and added it to their dry dog food to give them that little bit of extra to help put on the weight. Aside from the Nutrical, we have also used vitamins. We had 2 Pit puppies that had severe demodectic mange and were beyond malnourished. We used vitamins, nutrical and great food and in no time, they put on weight and all their hair grew back. Our Akita is on vitamins for his hips and it seems to be working quite well. Dogs are wolves and need meat based food. Buy a top shelf such as IAMS and have meat be the #1 thing.
