  3. Try going to GNC and getting some amino acids or creatinine. These two things burn fat while building muscle. It really helps.

  4. Nitric Oxide before you work out. Creatine after. Drink lots of water and eat lots of protein, vegetables and fruit. I take NO-XPLODE and Cell Mass by BSN. Stagger your meals and eat 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism high. Phil.

  5. dont pig out after you exercise and eat healthy. For the muscle to show you have to get rid of the fat. Also, I dont know how old you are, but you wont start getting “REAL” muscle until you are a certain part of puberty.

  7. Obviously, foods containing mostly protien like meat or beans build muscle effectively. To find out the protien content of each type of food u eat, go to the following website, type in the name of the food which u want to know the protien content of, & start eating the foods that contain the highest protein & lowest fat percentage. The site is :www.calorieking.com

  8. Steak, peas, and lots of starch [such as noodles, or pasta]. Drink a balanced amount of milk and orange juice, or anything with cranberry juice in it.

  9. Yeah good idea lets promote steroids!!!!! whos says that?

Well the idea for building muscle is to eat more calories than you burn, for example Arnie ate around 5000 calories a day. Now I’m not saying you should eat that much, 1 your not as big as him (i doubt it anyway) and 2 your a beginner by the sounds of it. To work out your maintenance calorie intake, find your body weight in pounds and multiply it by 15, this will give you a figure. Now for adding muscle you should add about 300-500 calories and for losing fat you should reduce it by about 300-500.

Basically You should include Carbs, Protein and Fats.

a 40/40/20 diet is a good idea which is 40%carbs 40% protein and 20% fats (mostly good fats).

Carbs should mainly be complex carbs (starchy or fibrous) So eating wholemeal pasta brown rice, oats, potatoes would be great for starchy carbs, just try not to eat as much starch after 5pm, that isnt a definate, but its worth not eating them. Fibrous carbs are veggies such as broccoli, Cauliflower, green beans.

Protein is easier because its simply a case of eating lean meats such as Skinless chicken breast, Lean steak. But you can also get protein from cottage cheese, FISH!!! and the bodybuilders favourite Eggs!

People see fats as being bad, but there are essential fats, such as omega 3. You can get these “good” fats from fish, nuts, avocado, Natural Peanut Butter.

Remember some saturated fat “bad fat” is necessary so dont cut them out completely, but definately cut them down dramatically.

As for supplements i only reccomend Whey protein. Its perfect for a post workout meal replacement.

Oh and remember a pre and post workout meal. This might be a banana, nuts and protein shake before the workout (about 1 hour) and a protein shake blended with oats after.

Supplements arent the be all and end all but they do help.

    Hope I helped aswell

  10. By just supplementing protein to your diet you will boost weight loss and lean muscle growth. Avoid meals high in fats, sugars, and carbs. You don’t need a bunch of expensive supplements like creatine . Yes you can build muscle on a low carb, high protein diet. Weight lifters were using this method long before it was used for weight loss.
